Resume & Cover Letter Writing
Whether you have a resume that needs updating or you don't have one at all, our Resource Clerks and Employment Advisors are trained at preparing professional resumes and cover letters. We keep your resumes and cover letters on file so any updates you need can be done quickly and easily. If you are able to prepare your own resume and cover letter but just need some pointers or minimal assistance, we would be happy to help you as well. You can use our resource computers to type your resume and cover letter and then use our printer. Need copies? Come in to MTW Employment Services and we will make as many copies as you need at no cost. Need your resume and cover faxed to an employer? We can do that for you too.
Job Search Database & Job Matching
At MTW Employment Services, we've created a job search database of available job seekers to match with potential employers. Instead of advertising a job opening, quite often employers will contact our offices and request names and/or resumes of suitable job seekers. Our Site Coordinator will then search this database for the names of our clients that have the skills and experience that the employers are looking for. This process is called job matching; matching the client with the potential employer. In order to be in our job search database, the Site Coordinator will require a copy of your resume and a signed Release of Employment Information form. Visit or call us at 854-1234 in Geraldton or 876-4222 in Longlac to put your name in our database. There is no charge for this service.
Employer Incentive
Employer Incentives encourage employers to hire unemployed individuals, to assist them with long-term employment opportunities, and with gaining new skills relevant to the marketplace. Whether our Site Coordinator matched you with an employer or you applied for a job on your own and an employer is interested in hiring you, you and the employer can apply for this incentive. Our Employment Advisor will meet with you to complete the application process and the Site Coordinator will meet with the employer to complete the application with them. Although the process is rather quick and easy, you must not start working for this employer until an agreement has been signed by you and the employer. Don't worry if you don't have an employer lined up. We can give you a Self Marketing Letter, that you can include with your resume when applying for work, which explains that you would be eligible for the employer incentive.
