CASUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
PRIME WORKER – Geraldton, Ontario
This position presents an excellent employment opportunity for individuals with post-secondary education in the Human Services field, who are seeking professional work experience and/or casual employment. Access Prime Workers facilitate and supervise family access visits (in the family home, community or CAS office). Currently, preference will be given to those applicants who are available to accept weekday shifts and evening shifts.
Reimbursement:
$14.25 per hour;
$16.00 per hour for Supervised Access;
Mileage reimbursement $.49 cents per kilometer
Qualifications:
Graduate of, or enrollment in a human services post-secondary program
Individuals with other Human Services postsecondary education and/or experience working with children and caregivers will also be considered
Ability to appreciate people’s differences and unique strengths
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently, within a flexible schedule
Highly organized and reliable
Job Requirements:
Access to a reliable vehicle suitable for transporting families, and adequate liability
insurance coverage
Upon conditional offer of employment:
o Current Criminal Records Check – Vulnerable Sector and consent to a Child Welfare Check; results deemed satisfactory by the Agency.
o Confirmation applicant possesses a valid “ G” Driver’s License and safe driving record (as defined by no
more than two driving offences in the past three year period, and/or no more than five demerit points)
